Founded almost 40 years ago, Godeval manages around 50 hectares of vineyards in Valdeorras and produces approximately 150,000 bottles annually across four 100% godello marks, including Godeval Cepas Vellas and Godeval 1986.

The founding family will remain involved in operations, with Honorato López Isla continuing as the business’s director alongside winery manager Araceli Fernández and technical director Ana Bartolomé.

Zamora said the acquisition would create operational and commercial synergies across its wine division and strengthen its reach in international markets and the premium on-premise. CEO Javier Pijoan described Godello as “one of the fastest-growing white varieties in Spain” with strong export potential.

Earlier this month, Zamora’s Spanish winery Ramón Bilbao signed a marketing tie-up with the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
