We are diving a plane wreck today and I wanted to make cookies for the crew and other divers, I'm so glad they turned out this well. My last batch of cookies (not a Sally recipe) were a total fail, they were so dry and flour-y. It put me off from attempting cookies again.

I made 2 little changes, I used 1/4 C of lard instead of all butter, and I did 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of maple extract instead of 2 tsp of vanilla.

I read « we are a divine plane wreck » which is also a good reason to bake cookies (I often bake when I’m a wreck 😂)

Same thing happened to me, until I remembered the mrs fields cookie book mum gave me

What’s the lard do? More moist?

Make them again and leave the dough in the fridge for 3 days before baking.  Guarantee he will like them more.

These cookies look delicious! I’m sure the crew appreciated them, especially after a dive like that. The slight tweaks you made sound like a great idea!

These look perfect!! Nice work 🙂 did you use cold or room temp ingredients for the refrigerated products? I often bring my eggs to room temp, same with butter or cream cheese

As a sugar fiend as well, those look delicious. 🤤 I think I might pass away if I don’t experience them. They make my soul cry.
