We are diving a plane wreck today and I wanted to make cookies for the crew and other divers, I'm so glad they turned out this well. My last batch of cookies (not a Sally recipe) were a total fail, they were so dry and flour-y. It put me off from attempting cookies again.
I made 2 little changes, I used 1/4 C of lard instead of all butter, and I did 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of maple extract instead of 2 tsp of vanilla.

They’re perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the middle.
They look amazing. Well done!
Sally never disappoints and those sound yummy!
Look delicious and moist!
They look delicious.
I read « we are a divine plane wreck » which is also a good reason to bake cookies (I often bake when I’m a wreck 😂)

Same thing happened to me, until I remembered the mrs fields cookie book mum gave me
What’s the lard do? More moist?
Make them again and leave the dough in the fridge for 3 days before baking. Guarantee he will like them more.
Why lard instead of butter?
These cookies look delicious! I’m sure the crew appreciated them, especially after a dive like that. The slight tweaks you made sound like a great idea!
I want to devour my screen right now.
Ok, these cookies look so good 😋😋😋😋😋🏆
These look perfect!! Nice work 🙂 did you use cold or room temp ingredients for the refrigerated products? I often bring my eggs to room temp, same with butter or cream cheese
Now, those are some sexy and delectable cookies right there. I tip my hat to you. 😌
Looks great and delicious
From an experienced baker, those look FABULOUS!
As a sugar fiend as well, those look delicious. 🤤 I think I might pass away if I don’t experience them. They make my soul cry.
