When is the correct time to put the heating on in your house? For me, mine started going on about 3 weeks ago, but then again, I just run cold. My hands and feet just always freezing for some reason. And honestly, that might just be the reason for my recent obsession with soups. This one had onion and ginger, which I started sweating down as my base. I then went in with some colorful carrots and some soaked red lentils, too. All these vegetables softened in some chicken bone broth where they were forced to surrender their flavor. I then add some fresh thyme and a tablespoon of miso paste for some umami. Not really sure what that word means, but a lot of other people seem to be using it, so screw it. I’ll do that, too. I finish with a good squeeze of lemon juice and then blend away till smooth. Pretty simple. I like to finish mine with some thick French cream and then some toasted pumpkin seeds for a little bit of a bite. Drizzle a good gug of extra virgin olive oil and some honey for sweetness. Mix it all in and you’re good to go, my friends.

  1. My heating is going on this weekend. First soup I make is guna be spicy roasted pumpkin and parsnip 🎃

  2. Huh. I have the AC on cool atm.
A couple of mid 30's days on the way. That purple carrot sure dominated the soups colour so much it looks like chocolate.
A pair of thermal socks and gloves should help with keeping the extremities warm. Add more meat to the soups, you need something that'll stick to the ribs.
    Cheers Lirim 👍🤤
