Is there such thing as too much butter whenever you’re cooking chicken breast? I mean, seriously, isn’t the more butter, the better? Here’s what I did. I got myself a regular chicken breast, sliced it right in the middle, and added some butter and thyme. Closed the whole thing up, seasoned it with barbecue rub, and added more butter. I mean, just a little bit more. I didn’t want to overdo it. You know what I mean? Cuz come on, why would you spend more on butter than chicken? But I was hopeful that I wasn’t making a mistake. So, I threw it in the pan with some oil so that the butter wouldn’t burn. And here’s where things got interesting. The smell coming out of this thing was wonderful. The chicken was cooking perfectly. I was literally doing a technique by the French which is called confi. But instead of low temperature, I was going for a higher temperature. And let me tell you, this was working perfectly. But at the same time, was it too much butter? I didn’t want to mess this up. So, I got my nicest knife. It’s the DS strong scorpion venom chef’s knife. But I thought maybe I needed a little bit more butter as I needed to answer the question. Is there such thing as too much butter when cooking chicken? There’s no such thing as too much butter.
