I’m the guy on the right.

It’s their two hottest tenders (Cluckin Hot and Stupid Hot), as well as one additional “Reaper tender” that they only do for this challenge.

Had to sign a waiver! The challenge was fun, if a bit painful.

I will say that the Reaper tender was a walk in the park compared to Houston Hot Chicken’s “Houston We Have a Problem” tender.

Overall though, it just increased my love for Tumble 22, and I got a rad shirt out of it.

I just did this myself! I went from the most mild to the hottest and by the time I got to the reaper my mouth was already on fire, so it wasn’t too bad. They forgot to give us the waiver until after we finished, hahaha

Is your buddy Chris Farley reincarnated?

I did this back in 2023 and the cooks had caked an ungodly amount of reaper powder onto the tender. Later that night, it turned into a ball of pain that moved through my intestines like a knife, stabbing me in different places over the next 10 hours. It actually greatly affected my spice tolerance and now I can’t eat anything that spicy. As if my body was saying “since you can’t protect us, I’m taking over.”

I always wondered if waivers like this are legal/enforceable.

Did it today easily. I didn’t know anything about signing anything until it was over, they were supposed to give me a T-shirt, but they didn’t have any large or extra large. So I signed it put my name and address on it, And they will send me one.

I’m not even getting hit at the other end. It was my first time at a tumble 22, so next time i’ll actually try one of the typical fried chickens.

  7. How big is the jump between Cluckin’ Hot and Stupid Hot?

My kids go to school near the Houston Ave location and I take them there occasionally. I normally eat Cluckin’ Hot and mostly it’s not hot enough. Plenty tasty though. Haven’t made the jump to Stupid Hot yet, though.
