Amazing Cream of Asparagus Soup in bread bowl!
Homade california inspired dish
INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsps. of Butter
5 Asparagus choped
1 Large Potato diced
1 Cup of water
1/2 Cup of Half and Half (Half cream – Half milk)
1/2 Onion diced
2 Garlic cloves
Nutmeg
Parmesan Cheese
Salt and Pepper
PROCEDURE:
1. Add butter to a pot
2. Mix onion and garlic into the butter until brown
3. Add water and cook until the vedgetables are soft
4. Let cool a few minutes and then add to the blender with the half and half until desired smooth texture
5. Return to the pan and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg
6. Wait for the dish to cool, add to a sourdough bread.
7. Decorate with parmesan cheese and croutons
8. Enjoy!!
