here’s your reminder to always wash your veggies – i bought already washed arugula/rocket from aldi and wasn’t going to wash it again just because i felt lazy and the packet said it was already washed and ready to eat. but my parents told me to still rinse it and guess what I found.. could’ve eaten a bee for dinner too

Would that have been so horrible? To eat a bee for dinner?

Watched too many of the episodes of Monsters Inside Me, where people ate parasites from eating unwashed salad and almost died, to ever do it again. From slug eggs to fecal matter. Nope nope nope. Wash those fresh greens.

Good advice, however, that isn’t a bee, it’s a hoverfly. Harmless bee mimic.

Btw I read online that the reason ppl get fruit flies isn’t bc they leave windows open but bc they or eggs are hatched inside. The eggs are typically are brought in already lain on fruits like bananas so rinsing bananas off in the skink when you bring them in from market is recommended to prevent fruit flies

I ALWAYS submerge my produce for a good 15 minutes. You’d be amazed at what all comes floating out of broccoli!
