YOUNGSTOWN During a time of uncertainty for those who are at risk of losing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, as well as federal workers who are not getting paid due to the ongoing government shutdown, a local business has stepped in to provide food for those in need.
Westside Bowl, a bowling alley and live music venue in Youngstown, is bringing back its “Pay-It-Forward” program Sunday, November 2, where it provides free pizza to anyone who may need it.
Westside Bowl previously did this program during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a post on Westside Bowl’s Facebook page, the business was able to provide more than 10,000 pizzas to those in need thanks to donations.
Every $10 donation equals one 12-inch pizza.
