I missed the Home Depot deal as I bought this on Thursday @ a wholesale club. I got a clearance price there too, 549 plus another 50 bucks off coupon for this Classic ! I ordered a good cover and a charcoal basket to get it up to speed…any other things I need to get this girl rollin?

I’d get a little propane blowtorch (harbor freight has cheap ones), instant read thermometer and a wireless thermometer.
Good Deal. Enjoy it. What is going to be your first cook?
I’ve settled on cotton balls soaked in 91% alcohol as a starter. Works well and inexpensive.
Congrats!
Get a torch propane, welding gloves, and a 14” aluminum pizza pan for drillings. Accessories are great but not necessary right away. If you must, get the rotisserie and the Napoleon basket.
Get the ChefsTemp digital temp gauge.
That’s a good score! Honestly you don’t need much to get going. If you’re gonna be into slow and indirect cooking, I highly recommend a WiFi thermometer so you can monitor your cook while doing other things.
Can I steal this post and ask if this is normal? As in the dome won’t crack or anything just a paint drip?

I’ve added a smokeware cap for rainy days, but still primarily run with the daisy wheel.
Set of probes for your grate surface area. Set of probes for the proteins. Welder type gloves.

These two devices will make your life so much easier. Makes smoking on the KJ classic as easy as a pellet grill. You don’t really need the Bluetooth unless you plan on getting a joetisserie. The fan-controller includes four wired meat thermometers.
