Yeah that’s a fuck up for sure. $12/lb at my Kroger

That’s gotta be mislabeled. There’s no way it’s on sale for that low. Anyhow, great find! I would have bought every single brisket on the shelf for that price!

  3. This is when you stock up the freezer. I’ve gotten pork butts on sale from there for like $.79/lb before.

If it makes anyone feel better I went to freaking Walmart at 8am yesterday and got a prime ribeye and two new york strips for 27 dollars. Excellent marble. And went back this morning and got a huge fillet and two more strips for the same price. It still happens.

HEB had brisket Super Trimmed for 5.99 per pound.
It is wrapped in paper right now finishing off on the PBC.

I bought beef shank yesterday at our WinCo at $1.98 a pound and had to pinch myself and bought extra for the freezer. I’d have loaded up on brisket at that price.

Somebody with a labeler is getting canned at Kroger , that is so wrong

  9. Ha ha. Years ago I was shopping at Kroger and found beef tenderloin for .69 cents a pound. Left with 4

$2 a pound is a reasonable price for fill-dirt, you stole that.

My favorite Kroger pricing fuckup was once when they had lobster tails on sale and labeled at $5.99/lb. They meant $5.99 each. They were 3-4 oz lobster tails. I went for it.
