With the defending champion Dodgers heading into their second World Series in just two years, many baseball fans in Los Angeles will be looking for a place to catch the game in good company.
In Chinatown, there’s a Dodger-themed pizza joint that strives to be a home base for Angelenos who bleed blue.
At LaSorted’s you’ll find a shrine to the Boys in Blue, with everything from a Dodgers Cabbage Patch doll to signed photos of beloved manager Tommy Lasorda, who died in 2021.

Owner Tommy Brockert named his restaurant in honor of baseball's beloved ambassador and said he’s adding tables and making space for World Series watchers.
“I was born for this. I take it to another level.. to make it the ultimate experience… And if there’s a place that’s approachable, that’s what I want this to be,” Brockert told LAist.
Growing from humble beginnings making pizza on his porch for friends and neighbors during COVID, Brockert opened up a Silver Lake pizza counter in 2021 before expanding to this Chinatown location last year — just in time for the Dodgers 2024 World Series win.
“Dodger fans have been amazing. You know, we have… regulars who come before or after the game and people who come to just watch the game with their family,” Brockert said.

The third-generation L.A. Dodgers fan said he had a chance meeting with Lasorda’s daughter, Laura Lasorda, at Dodger Stadium earlier this year.
“From what I gathered they were very happy with what [the restaurant] means,” he said, adding that he feels a personal connection to Lasorda’s big heart and love for L.A.
Brockert serves up pizza, hot dogs and more, but stepping into LaSorted’s Chinatown location is also a feast for the eyes. It’s brimming with the owner’s collection, which includes a Tommy Lasorda baseball that he says was in the late manager’s office and a rare sketch of Lasorda and legendary comedian Don Rickles.
“I really put my heart and soul into creating a place that has felt like it’s been here forever and that everyone is welcome,” Brockert said.
The Dodgers face off against the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of the World Series this Friday.
