PRESCOTT, Ark. (KTAL/KMSS) – The community is invited to learn how to cook using a Dutch oven with a class hosted by the Nevada County Depot Museum.

‘Free Persons of Color’ exhibit debuts at Historic Washington State Park

“Led by seasoned presenter Sheila Ballard, this hands-on workshop will teach participants how to cook over an open flame using traditional cast iron Dutch ovens,” a press release stated. “Attendees will prepare a full meal, including a main dish, side, bread, and dessert, using historical recipes and techniques that reflect the culinary heritage of the region.”

The cooking class will take place on Saturday, November 15, at 11 a.m. at Prairie D’Ane Battlefield, 2243 Hwy 19 North in Prescott. Registration is required for $25 per person and can be completed at thedepotmuseum.org/events. To learn more, email thedepotmuseum@gmail.com or call 870-887-5821.
