Welcome everyone. Today we’re making a traditional beef tajine. A simple slowcooked dish full of rich flavors and warm spices. Here’s what you’ll need. beef, onions, tomatoes, coriander, olive oil, cumin, salt, cinnamon, siba, turmeric, ginger, prunes, and raisins. Start by adding a drizzle of olive oil to your tjine. Then, gently place the beef pieces inside, letting them brown slowly over low heat. Now it’s time for the magic. Start with a spoon of ginger, a pinch of salt, a warm touch of turmeric, and a sprinkle of cumin. Add a little cinnamon for sweetness and depth, and just a light touch of pepper to awaken the flavors. Gently mix everything together so each piece of meat is perfectly coated in this beautiful golden blend. Add a handful of chopped onions on top to start building that sweet flavor base. After about 30 minutes of slow cooking, add the rest of the onions. Then sprinkle in your fresh coriander and parsley. Cover it up and let the flavors blend beautifully together. Now, gently add the raisins, the olives, and those rich, tender prunes. Each one brings its own personality to the dish. The raisins add a subtle sweetness. The olives bring a soft, salty bite, and the prunes melt slowly into a deep. Cover the tajine once more and let it cook slowly. Don’t rush this moment.
