VIK, the renowned retreat, vineyard, and winery in Chile’s Millahue Valley, has announced its Harvest Festival, set to take place on May 3, 2025. This event celebrates the 2025 harvest season and offers a unique experience for wine enthusiasts. Recognized as the second-best vineyard in the world by World’s Best Vineyards, VIK is known for its innovative approach to winemaking. The festival will showcase the techniques and wines that have earned the winery international acclaim.
The event will unfold in four distinct acts, each designed to immerse guests in the world of VIK. It begins with a guided tour of the vineyards, where participants will learn about the winery’s pioneering methods. These include Barroir, which uses valley oak for barrel toasting; Amphoir, involving local clay amphoras; and Fleuroir, which incorporates regional wildflowers to enhance yeast diversity. Guests will enjoy a glass of La Piu Belle Rosé while winemaker Cristián Vallejo explains the process behind the 100-point Vik 2021 wine.
The second act takes place in the Pavilion garden, where attendees can sample a variety of VIK wines. Stations will be set up on the lawn, allowing guests to explore the different labels while enjoying live music. Some wines will be presented in magnum bottles, adding a special touch to the tasting experience.
The third act focuses on gastronomy, featuring an elegant lunch among the vineyards. The menu will be crafted by Pablo Cáceres, chef of Vik Chile, in collaboration with Santi Inzaurralde, chef of Vik Uruguay. The dishes will be paired with VIK wines, including the celebrated Vik 2021. This culinary experience highlights local flavors and the winery’s commitment to excellence.
As the day transitions into evening, the final act begins. Guests will enjoy live jazz and folk music, along with an art exhibition that explores the connection between wine and creativity. The celebration will conclude with a lively DJ set, ensuring a festive end to the event.
The VIK Harvest Festival will run from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM and is priced at $500 per person. The event is open to adults only, and pets are not allowed.
