Welcome to tinned fish tea time where we are turning the humble tinned fish into a nutritious and filling meal. And first up is a garlic and chili sardine spaghetti. Now if you know me, I am someone who snacks on a tin of sardines every day. They are just so good for you fueling your body and brain. And they can also be pretty cheap to buy. So for the first recipe, we are using sardines that come in olive oil. They are more on the expensive side, but I like to use a sardine that can hold its shape for a recipe like this. Once you have fried off some garlic, chili, and anchovies in the olive oil from the tin, delaze the pan with a squeeze of lemon. Add the sardines to the pan and heat them through. Gently toss through some el dente spaghetti and a handful of rocket. Stir everything through on a low heat and then finish off with a crack of black pepper, sprinkling of salt, and a good drizzle of olive oil.

  2. It wasn’t until I took a trip to Portugal that I realized tinned fish were actually cool. They have entire stores dedicated to them.

  3. You're one step away from pasta alle sarde or bigoli or bucatini, con le acciughe or alici 😂 so many variations from Friuli to Sicilia!!

  4. Oh my god I don't think I've ever made a recipe off a random internet video but this looks so simple and amazing I could eat anchovies every day

  5. Schmeckt sehr gut. Aber man sollte nicht vergessen danach zum Sport zu gehen. So eine Portion hat ca 2000 Kilokalorien 😂

  6. You and my mom could be friends with sardines and anchovies 😅. We grew up with her eating them and us shunning her. Poor mom ❤.

  7. I should probably know this but I don’t…lol. Do you eat the bones or do you take them out before you add them in?

  8. So here is the thing Sardines daily or more than once a week is not something that I recommend because Sardines live in extremely polluted areas…and you might want to check if you have Arsenic in your body…other than that I like your videos a lot and you look like my aunt so I like them even more haha

  9. You eat the bones?? Kudos to you! I choked on one once and I can't go back now 😔

  10. People either love or hate sardines, my siblings hate them. I like them and you are showing me delicious ways to enjoy them.

  11. I usually consume a can of the seasons sardines in olive oil over lentils and basmati rice and some veggies for dinner as a healthy meal. Sometimes I’ll have that for 2 weeks in a row. Cheap and easy.

  12. – Never saw garlic peel so easily. I will definitely try this. Could I substitute it for octopus, shrimp or squid? 🐙🦑🧄

  13. I absolutely love ur cooking but unfortunately can't try any of the recipes:(
