1. Had Five Guys for the first time in YEARS (probably around 10). Fries are still my favorite thing

  2. Ol’ reliable Whataburger. I will cry when the bacon wrangler leaves the menu

  3. Local burger place. Haven’t had this in years but honestly they fell off. Shake was good though.

I used to go to Five Guys when they were just DC area. Always hit up the one at one of the airports (Dulles, I think?). Their burgers are still consistent but I feel like they don’t do as good a job with the browning, for quite a few years now. Their hot dogs are better now, imo. And of course, their fries have never wavered.

I’m not a fan of Whataburger. I prefer half a dozen other burger joints (Culver, Wendy’s, Shake Shack, Five Guys, In-N-Out, etc.) over Whataburger. Not terrible, but almost never has any crust whatsoever. One of those local things where it’s better than McDonald’s and Burger King, so locals hype it up. And I’ve had so much Whataburger at this point, it’s not in my head.

In-N-Out, though… really great diner style thin patty burger. Always hits. Really great joint. Too bad their fries are a crime against fries.

The first Five guys was just built where I live. I’ve never had theirs before. I went in, saw the prices, and bailed.

I’ve always wanted to try whataburger, what am I missing? We don’t have it in PNW

Yoooo another homie from the 956! I frequent Wallbangers very often when I’m in McAllen. Much love.

I still don’t understand why five guys doesn’t salt their patties before they cook them. Even nasty ass McDonald’s has enough sense to season the patties. And the fact they won’t even if you ask them is wild to me.

I’m not gonna talk shit about 5 Guys (overpriced trash), and I’ve never had Whataburger because I’m honestly proud to not be from anywhere they operate.

But yeah, something about fast food burgers is magical. I’m not a great cook, but I can make a hamburger… and it literally never tastes the same as fast food. I can make something that’s set up LIKE a Big Mac or a Double Double, but it literally never tastes the same.

That meal right there in the pic at Five Guys is $30….

I love Five Guys fries, but the past two times I’ve been the fries were suddenly white instead of the typically “greasy” golden brown we’re accustomed to.

Not sure if they changed oil in the UK or what.
