Got this pepper plant from a family member, what would be ideal way to maintain it indoors?
I would like to know what variety this is, what i can do against white small cottony mites (most likely mealybugs) trying to eat it up, and if i can/may use this fertilizer and still use the peppers in cooking.

Im using vinegar spray for now and i check it every day and remove any mite colonies by squishing them

First, pick those ripe peppers. Secondly, are you maintaining the plant indoors permanently or overwintering it to move outside next season. If you want to grow peppers indoors you will need grow lights and more to crop successfully. If you’re overwintering, I would pick the peppers, defoliate the plant completely, and rinse out the roots. A neem soak will kill all the pests which will only get worse all winter and spread to other plants. Then repot, and water well. Then keep on the dry side, in a cool dim place, watering sparingly. Bring outside in spring, protect from frost.
