  1. So I’ve eaten at El Celler, which is a 3 michelin star located in Girona, Spain, and had this dish, which was phenomenal. The two wines on either side are the same wines but vastly different vintages. The middle glass is actually a duck based broth, but they definitely give you a ton of wine with the pairing

    Its hoity toity as fuck, but the plate(s) function as proper plates, with the fake crack acting as a lip keeping the mostly solid food off of the table. It’s subversive, and it’s meant to be, but it’s not going off the rails like Alinea does.

    I mean I get the concept they’re going for, and I think that this execution is probably one of the few ways to really pull it off. If you’re into that kind of stuff, this is awesome and not a true entry in this sub. But if you’re a chicken tenders and mac and cheese sort of guy, this isn’t for you and that’s perfectly ok as well.
