I was super excited for this flavor, thought it would be my favorite of the holiday flavors. But i was pretty disappointed. The condensed milk base is pretty good. Creamy, and has just a little tanginess. The dulce de leche was way too sparse! I had to really dig in to find any pockets of gooey goodness. I also think the addition of something extra for more texture would have elevated it. Maybe some hardened caramel bits? And then I wouldn’t have felt so cheated by the lack of dulce de leche. While I will have no problems finishing the pint (it’s still yummy ice cream!), I probably will skip this one in the future.

The haagen daz dulce de leche is really great if you’re looking for a redo 🙂 they also have a dulce de leche churro but haven’t tried that one
