Is Angelo’s Italian Restaurant looking to expand?

It’s been quite the journey for Angelo’s Italian Restaurant, whose origins date back to the 1960s.

And now decades later, the Italian restaurant that currently resides at 5900 E. Central could be looking to expand with a second location.

I’m currently hearing that Angelo’s could be in the running to take over the former DeFazio’s building at 2706 N Amidon Ave. It’s been four years since DeFazio’s closed its doors after 40 years in business. This could be a much-desired return of Italian food to the area.

There is Amore Italian Restaurant about a mile away at 2315 W. 21st St., but rumors are Amore closed for good.

Now it could be Angelo’s Italian Restaurant coming in to bring their brand of Italian food to that part of town.

Angelo’s isn’t commenting on anything currently, but right now that’s the rumor I’m hearing.
