A variety of hospitality venues are coming soon to the expanding lineup at the Galleria Shoppes at Vanderbilt in North Naples. The local shopping and dining destination on the northwest corner of Airport-Pulling and Vanderbilt Beach roads has a variety of restaurants, bars and retailers building out units there.

New Italian market

The adjoining spaces of The Cave Bistro & Wine Bar and Naples Wine Collection, which closed earlier this year, were leased in late October for another synergistic business model, said PJ Hill, leasing manager for the Shoppes at Vanderbilt.

“That’s going to be Ambrosi & Sons, which is an authentic Italian market,” Hill said. “We’re excited to have them. I think they’re going to be a great fit. This space makes a lot of sense for them for their market goods up front, all their pastas, flours, sauces and products.”

Ambrosi’s specialty market will be on the side that most recently was home to Naples Wine Collection. It will offer wine tastings and a selection of wines by the glass. The adjoining space that hosted The Cave Bistro will be a complementary hospitality venue.

“We’re going to do something cool on the other side, but I don’t have that all sorted out yet,” said local entrepreneur Rudy Ambrosi, who has operated his Italian gourmet food market for five years in East Naples.

Ambrosi had plans to expand his business to Bayfront in Naples two years ago, but that deal didn’t transpire. He is glad he found another unique opportunity at the Shoppes at Vanderbilt.

“The Cave is the perfect spot for us because it has the retail on the one side, then it has the bar and kind of cool atmosphere,” Ambrosi said.

Expect the new business to launch in early 2026. “I haven’t settled on exactly the name for now,” Ambrosi said.

The Good Pour

The Good Pour, a Florida-based wine shop chain, is coming next year to the 1000 Building, the new four-unit building recently built behind the CVS pharmacy outparcel on the corner of Airport-Pulling and Vanderbilt Beach roads.

“They leased the entirety of that building. They’re taking the whole building,” Hill said. “They’re going to be going through a buildout period. We’re hopeful for them to get open before the end of next year.”

The more than 7,000-square-foot space will be the sixth location for The Good Pour. Its five locations — all in Florida — are in Apopka, College Park, Gainesville, Longwood and Winter Park. The store sells wine, spirits, beer, seltzers, mixers and gift items, such as glassware and bar essentials. It also hosts events and tastings and donates to charities designated by its patrons.

“They’re new to this market, Southwest Florida, so they’re a growing brand,” Hill said. “Their concept is really attractive, so we’re excited for them and hopeful that they’re going to take off here in this market.”

The Supper Club

The Supper Club is targeting to open this month in the former space of Tableside and Alpine restaurants. The local dining concept began on Davis Boulevard as a sister restaurant to Old Vines at Mercato in North Naples.

The new, significantly larger space will maintain the dinner lounge atmosphere of the concept since it opened in East Naples, drawing inspiration from supper clubs of the 1930s and 1940s. The new 2,200-square-foot location will feature a modern take on vintage elegance with crushed red velvet walls and drapes, high ceilings, chandeliers and bronze accents with casual lounge seating and a black stone bar. In addition to an expanded kitchen and dining space, the new location will allow the restaurant to expand its beverage program with a full liquor license, introducing craft cocktails along with international wine and beer selections.

Aufieri & Martinez Argentinian Steakhouse is targeted to open this month in Suite 200, a longtime restaurant space that has been home to a variety of local dining spots – Havana Blue Cuban Cuisine & Lounge, Salsa Cuban Restaurant & Lounge, French Folies, The Basin and Absinthe. The first dining concept locally for Walter Rolando Aufieri and Daniel Martínez will focus on high-quality, grilled meats.

“They are hopeful to be open in the next couple of weeks. They are around the corner of getting open,” Hill said.

Another new building

The large, two-story 1100 Building is under construction in the center’s last vacant outparcel space along Vanderbilt Beach Road immediately west of CVS. The building is on schedule to be completed near the end of the year, Hill said.

“We have a variety of concepts currently interested that we are working to secure leases with,” he said. “I can’t disclose any of them at this specific time, but we’re really hopeful to finalize a deal with a household name in the restaurant industry here in town.”

The local restaurant is looking at a ground-floor unit facing Vanderbilt Beach Road. The building has about 20 units, but some concepts are interested in taking multiple units. “We’ll probably end up with about a dozen tenants there, probably a little more,” Hill said.

Shoppes at Vanderbilt - La Playa Bowls

Playa Bowls, known for açaí, pitaya and coconut bowls, is taking over the former Nautical Bowls space at the Galleria Shoppes at Vanderbilt.

More coming

Playa Bowls, which also has a location near Gulf Coast Town Center, is moving into the unit vacated by Nautical Bowls at the end of 2024. The Jersey Shore chain has more than 300 shops specializing in acai, pitaya and coconut bowls, as well as smoothies.

Nearby, the original Angelic Desserts location has been leased to Angelic Desserts Bakery & Cafe, which moved next door earlier this year. The small unit will be combined with the new larger space so that Angelic Desserts can expand its kitchen and possibly seating for the growing local business. “Really, they’re a victim of their own success,” Hill said. “We’re super happy to see them grow and be successful.”

SweatHouz, a wellness studio featuring infrared saunas, cold plunge, vitamin C showers and private luxury suites, is opening two area locations soon in North Naples. In addition to the Shoppes at Vanderbilt, it’s coming to the new Tree Farm Plaza.

“We’re really excited to have them. We think they’re a great, synergistic venue with the other wellness and beauty concepts we have at the center,” Hill said. “Their concept is high-end, a very nice build-out. It should be very complementary with the other tenants we have.”

After temporarily closing in early October for renovations, Mojo Thai & Sushi in Suite 186 reopened Oct. 16 with a refreshed menu and a new name: Mojo Thai & E-San. Instead of sushi, Mojo is differentiating itself by focusing more on cuisine from the northeastern region of Thailand known as Isaan, or E-San, which is more influenced by its bordering countries of Laos and Cambodia. Flavorful menu items include Kang Um, a spicy E-San-style curry packed with aromatic herbs in a chicken and vegetable stew with Thai chili and anchovy fish sauce; and Tum Thaad, a combination plate with Pu Pla Ra papaya salad, Thai pork sausage, rice vermicelli, boiled egg, crispy pork rinds and pork jerky.
