I took good care of it for about 7-8 years. The last 2 not so much. It rusted out pretty bad. I had to cut the gas lines because they were frozen and would not break free. I treated myself to the Weber griddle also. Here are all the parts that have been replaced.

  • cook box
  • heat shield
  • heat deflectors
  • flavorizers
  • SS grates
  • main gas line
  • side burner gas line
  • burner manifold
  • grill lights
  • bottom panel
  • temperature gauge
  • igniter kit
  • new lid

I was just inside the warranty period as well.

Very nice. I have literally done the same thing using the Weber warranties, which are amazing. Living where I live, barbecues and certain parts of intend to rust quickly regardless of due care and maintenance. As a result, I’ve had to make warranty claims on some of the components of the Weber. It’s important to know the dates that warranty claims expired because several components will be grouped together but those groups could have different warranty periods, so make sure you make your claims before the warranty expires for any parts. I will then beat the Weber into the ground and when I’m ready to rebuild it using all the warranty parts. Looks great sorry for any typos and errors. This was dictated.
