On Thursday 20 November, London will once again turn red with Gamay-fuelled bars and restaurants celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau Day 2025. From candlelit breakfasts to jazz-filled suppers, db profiles where to join the French fête across the capital.

Gordon’s Wine Bar (Charing Cross)

The city’s oldest wine bar, Gordon’s, opens early for a rare Beaujolais Breakfast from 8:00-11:00am. Guests can enjoy a full English breakfast, fresh juice and coffee, all accompanied by the first glass of 2025’s Beaujolais Nouveau in its candlelit cellar or on Villiers Street. Unusually for Gordon’s, bookings are accepted for this event. The bar will continue serving the new vintage by the glass throughout November.

Galvin Bistrot & Bar (Spitalfields)

At Galvin Bistrot & Bar, the festivities begin at 8:15am with croque monsieur and coffee before flowing into special lunch and dinner menus. Expect live jazz, French dining and the first Gamay of 2025 poured all day long. Reservations are recommended for this full-day fête in Spitalfields Market.

Davy’s “Beaujolais Nouveau Part-Yay”

Davy’s Wine Vaults in Greenwich is hosting its annual “Part-Yay” in the heated Vintners Yard courtyard from 5:30-8:00pm. A £45 ticket includes unlimited wine samples, French nibbles and live music. Guests can enjoy not only the 2025 Beaujolais Nouveau but also Cru wines from Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent and Côte de Brouilly. There’s even a “Guess the Beaujolais” blind-tasting competition and a prize for the best French fancy dress.

The Buxton × Le Kitchen (Aldgate)

The Buxton gastropub has teamed up with Lyon’s Le Kitchen for a one-night-only Beaujolais Nouveau dinner. Starting at 6:00pm, visiting chef Connie Zagora will present a four-course Lyonnais menu featuring classics such as saucisson in brioche and pike quenelle, all paired with flowing Beaujolais Nouveau. Priced at £60 per person.

The Sourcing Table (Peckham)

South London’s The Sourcing Table is throwing an intimate Bojo Nouveau party from 7:00-10:00pm. Guests will be greeted with a glass of Nouveau on arrival, followed by small plates of French-inspired fare. Live music from The Hot Club of Jupiter will soundtrack the evening. Tickets £25.

La Fromagerie (Marylebone)

Beloved cheese and wine house La Fromagerie celebrates Beaujolais Nouveau Day with a three-course Burgundian supper. Dishes include Escargots Anglais, Boeuf Bourguignon and apple Tarte Tatin, served with the newly landed Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau 2025. At around £60 per person, this is one of the city’s most elegant vin primeur dinners.

The Jugged Hare (Barbican)

For £65 per person, diners at The Jugged Hare can enjoy a five-course “Spirit of Lyon” dinner, featuring saucisson en brioche, pike quenelles and Tarte à la Praline. Each course is paired with Beaujolais and Burgundy wines chosen by the house sommeliers.

Le Beaujolais Wine Bar (Covent Garden)

At Le Beaujolais, London’s oldest French wine bar, it’s Beaujolais Day every day, but especially on 20 November. No tickets or reservations, just drop in for a glass (or several) of the 2025 vintage in this cosy, time-worn bar that’s been celebrating the event since the 1970s.

Noble Rot (Bloomsbury)

Noble Rot’s Fête du Beaujolais begins with a free outdoor tasting from 4:00pm, featuring both Nouveau and Cru Beaujolais. Later, a guest chef dinner inside the restaurant showcases the wines alongside seasonal dishes, with past chefs including Pierre Koffmann and Merlin Labron-Johnson. The afternoon street tasting requires no booking, but the evening dinner sells out quickly each year.

Marceline (Canary Wharf)

Floating brasserie Marceline offers two ways to celebrate. At lunchtime (12-2pm), “A Taste of Bojo Novo” includes two tastings and a steak French dip sandwich for £10. By evening, the Bojo Novo Supper Club (£95) delivers a guided tasting with Liberty Wines and Neal’s Yard Dairy, pairing Beaujolais wines with artisanal cheeses in the venue’s salon.

Vagabond Wine Bar (Battersea)

At Vagabond Battersea Power Station, the party runs into the night. The bar will pour Domaine Guy Breton’s 2025 Beaujolais Nouveau, a cult bottling from the region’s “Gang of Four”, at retail price by the glass. It will be the company’s second Nouveau under Majestic ownership.

Top Cuvée (Highbury & Shoreditch)

North London favourite Top Cuvée is marking the day across both its sites. In Highbury, enjoy a £65 four-course dinner blending Lyonnais and British dishes, all paired with the 2025 Beaujolais Nouveau. Over in Shoreditch, the party gets looser: 2-for-1 happy hour, gourmet hot dogs and a late-night playlist of French tunes.
