There’s a new cafe coming to Edmonton, right in the Little Italy neighbourhood.

From the owners of the now-closed Dalla Tavola Zenari comes Zenari’s Little Italy, a little coffee counter nestled in Zocalo Gift & Garden Gallery. They bring into the gallery the love of all things Italian, one coffee at a time.

“After living in Little Italy for 15 years, we are beyond excited to open the cafe we’ve always dreamed of,” says Ran Huget and Elisa Zenari.

They previously owned Dalla Tavola Zenari, which was a beautiful Italian restaurant nestled in downtown Edmonton. It closed in 2024 after 40 years in business due to challenges during COVID-19.

Dalla Tavola Zenari was an Edmonton favourite, making it very exciting to see a new venture coming into the city.

The team came to the community looking for a solid name before they landed on the classic Zenari’s, paying homage to the history of the Zenari’s.

On Nov. 3, they announced the soft opening of the new cafe. It will serve beverages and work towards light snacks as the team settles into the new space.

Zocalo, its new home, is a beautiful and colourful gift, flower, and plant gallery in Edmonton’s Little Italy. It sells fresh and funky finds, and its new cafe will only bring more attraction to the stunning space.

Opening hours will be on the Zocalo website. Stay tuned for Zenari’s own website, coming soon!
