This was a hand me down machine, and I’ve adored it. Makes great ice cream! But I’m concerned about the inside, it’s looking pretty beat up. Its smooth to the touch, not scratchy or peeling. But does this mean it might start doing so? Will the bowl just start to looking like this after a lot of use, and this is normal?

I think you can get a replacement on the cuisineart website for the bowl and still keep the machine unless the machine itself has problems. Mine is also second hand and looks similar
I think it’s fine. Isn’t the non stick coating inert even if ingested?
You can chuck it in the backseat of my car!
I think these are aluminium coated with Xylan, which isn’t toxic or carcinogenic. If it’s not peeling or anything, it’s probably fine to keep using it. It shouldn’t really degrade much as long as you use something soft (Silicon spatula or something) to empty it.
But, like u/Wikerstown said, it’s not tough to get a replacement bowl if you still feel like it needs replacing.
