If you’re a home baker with a Costco card, we’d make a hefty bet that you already shop for most of your baking staples—like eggs, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla—from the warehouse. For instance, McCormick’s seasonal finishing sugars are a must-grab when the holidays roll around. Plus, the wholesaler has stellar deals on flour and sugar, and you can even score some pretty sweet baking sheets from the chain, too. In other words, if you’re the type to whip up dozens of cookies, cakes, and other confections during the holidays, Costco is your home away from home…especially when you need to stock up on vanilla extract.

Speaking of vanilla, consider this your formal (and urgent) notice to every baker and Costco member: The warehouse currently has a stellar deal on a gourmet ingredient that can elevate just about any bake. And, no, we’re not talking about its pure vanilla extract (though that’s also an essential). Rather, the warehouse has us taking any vanilla-enhanced creation to new heights this season with its wildly good deal on vanilla beans.

Kirkland Signature Organic Madagascar Vanilla Beans

Twenty-count jars of Kirkland’s Signature Organic Madagascar Vanilla Beans were recently spotted at a California location for $10.89. To put it into perspective, that’s about 55 cents for one individual vanilla bean. Vanilla can be ridiculously expensive, so when you see a good deal (especially on whole beans), it’s always worth it because you never know how long it will last.

“Twenty organic beans under $11 is a steal!” exclaims Allrecipes Editor Deanne Revel, who’s comparing its price to those found at other grocery stores, where vanilla beans usually cost $3.50 each.

“The cheapest I’ve seen vanilla beans…ever? At Costco, of course,” Senior Editorial Director Arie Knutson tells me. “Feels especially surprising with the tariffs.”

Real vanilla beans offer an insanely easy way to upgrade any bake from the moment your guest sees it on their plate. They can add a lovely touch of color to recipes. Those specks you see in vanilla ice cream? That comes from scraping whole, authentic vanilla beans, and is a visual sign that the treat is packed with that sweet flavor.

You don’t have to be a baker to use the beans, either. Redditors who found the deal at their local warehouses flocked to the comments with tips on how to use the beans. Fans said they make homemade vanilla extract and Kahlua with the vanilla beans, while another uses them to make vanilla paste.

“I put them in bourbon and let them diffuse,” notes a Redditor.

If you ask us, the deal couldn’t have come at a better time for the home baker, with baking season officially upon us. So, make sure you head to your local Costco and stock up on some vanilla beans before this deal ends.
