I retrofitted a Kontrol Tower onto a Classic Joe 1 and it's very lose. Before I go out and buy some felt to double up the felt thickness around the chimney I wanted to see if anyone has any better ideas?

I had the same thing with my big Joe 1. I think it’s because they use a different gasket with that top.
I actually went back to my daisy wheel. It has its draw backs but I like it better than the control tower.
I had the same after i replaced the dome of my bigjoe 2.
There is a sort of gasket around the base holding the controltowertop in its place. With my new dome its less thick.
You can buy this gasket online to make it fit better.
Got the same issue. I, rightly or wrongly, added extra gasket on top of the existing gasket, and the increased thickness seems to work. Got through most of summer with it like that, but as to how long it will hold, time will tell.
Use the daisy wheel. This is a downgrade.
Claim it under warranty, they will send you the correct gasket material (I also got an extra Kontrole top)!
