    That’s sweet as hell.

But I’m concerned about the state of those mashed potatoes lol

Grammy’s food is the best. That looks like Sunday dinner. I bet it was delicious!

The best meals are the ones where the main ingredient is love.

Did you drive to the Midwest by any chance? ❤️

Last time I saw my grandmother she cooked for us. 9 hr drive to tried to tell her she didn’t need to but she insisted. She made a ham, mashed potatoes green beans, sweet potatos for dessert. That was the last time I ever saw her.

Enjoy that meal! My grandma did the same when I would go see her. And that meal looks amazing. My grandma would make fried chicken, twice baked potatoes and green beans with homemade roll that were to die for. God rest her soul! ☝🏻 enjoy every meal and your time with her. You never know when it will be your last meal and I would give anything for that! 🫡👊🏻

Grandma never made me eat anything I didn’t like. She also often ate bacon and eggs for dinner. Whenever I have that now later in the day, I call it my Grandma dinner. You are always with me Grandma.

She made this specific meal especially for me because it’s been my favorite since childhood. When I was young and someone asked me what was my favorite food, I’d answer “grandma’s roast beef”

Love this! My grandma’s idea of dinner was a gin martini with olives. She was my favorite person!

I haven’t had food like that in years, I miss my grandma…

Grandma is the best. Mine was an amazing chef. Bless you for the drive.

That right there is the greatest meal one can have. Made with love.

Classic meal, beef must have been so tender, and that mash looks dashing

You tell her I love her and give her a gentle hug. What a beautiful meal. You are so very lucky and I’m grateful you posted this in appreciation. 🙏🌻

Wow, that is truly special. What a gift! Neither set of my grandparents cooked and neither did my parents. I lived off fast food and frozen dinners growing up. I would have loved to experience this feeling of a favorite childhood meal cooked by someone you love. Your grandmother loves you dearly!

  16. Take this moment to remember to call your grandparents (or visit them). Some of us old people don’t have them any more.

The way this just made my eyes water. Oh, what I would give to have my grandma feed me just because I stopped by to visit her, again!

People, if you’ve still got your grandparents and they’re good to you, go visit them!!

Pointed to the sky at my Nana because I still remember her sneaking me food. This is beautiful OP!

Grandma food can be the best. One of my grandmothers made the best soul food. Unfortunately, the one that lived the longest made the most disgusting food ever. I remember her spaghetti was like oily meat with a hint of what could only be red sauce. It was still clear and oily. She also made a bunch of things like macaroni salad, which can be good, but hers tasted like styrofoam and mothballs.

    Edit: lived not loved.
