What/Impressions: Nordic with sophisticated and surprising flavor combinations, elegant ingredients.  I really enjoyed the meal and the team.  The opening bites were very different and intense flavors. The progression of the meal was cohesive and it’s clear the chef has a very refined and creative palate.  Textures, temperature, and flavor combinations were firing on all cylinders.  It would be really difficult to call out all of the standouts

Standouts

  • Most of the small bites wowed, particularly the king crab, tuna + caviar
  • Shrimp, horseradish, dill (holy wow that was amazing.  The team subbed shrimp for raw oyster I didn’t like and I had to give one to my friend and he agreed it was amazing and better than the original)
  • Lobster was well cooked, sauce was amazing
  • King crab will probably be the best I’ll ever eat
  • Honey, Vanilla dessert was out of this world (all the desserts were incredible though)

Misses (not really a "miss")

  • Scallops, gooseberry, rose (was good, but very subtle and just didn’t hit like other dishes)
  • Essence of langoustine (similar to comment above)

Atmosphere/Staff/Experience: staff was great, the chefs and servers were all personable.  Tina was amazing and very warm.  The pacing was good by and large, but slowed a tiny bit towards the end of the meal (didn’t give feedback, but our fault for not asking).

Revisit: absolutely yes.  This is definitely one of those 19 or 19.5 / 20 experiences for me and near the top of my best meals.

PS: trying to a new review format that gives good info without being overly time consuming to write up, so feel free to comment. Will try to add a few more from my “backlog” of posting soon.

Honestly, Ive been putting Jordnaer on hold as I think it is too short and wont make me full. It is more a snack parade than plated dishes:(

  2. Curious where else you ate in Copenhagen. Our original plan was to arrive on Saturday (March), but changed the flight which puts Jordnaer in play. Currently on the waitlist.
