What about the customer? We can still threaten them right?

  2. MaterialAstronaut298

The punishment is a day off? I will beat your ass Kyle. On Friday, and Saturday, and definitely during Sunday brunch

  3. RatzInDaPark

What the hell? A prison kitchen is probably less toxic than this workplace

I remember having a fight with my head chef at like 20… like a proper fight, fucker absolutely battered me 😅 my fault ego took over and I started it…

Still hands down one of the best guys ive worked for and we’re still friends to this day 🤙

A.J. Sounds like the kind of person who would downvote and report a chive post.

The problem I see here is that it is a note. No wonder why that place is toxic. If you can’t speak to/with your team *and* have them follow guidelines, then the kitchen leader is the one who needs replacing

  7. Yeah, don’t fire them, give them the night off, that will show them. Oh you want your friday night off? Just threaten someone, I got you covered.

  8. DoctorRockso85

I have threatened to shove a coworker’s head up my ass and walk around like a centaur. Will I be sent home for that chef?

  9. Always hated this approach – actually speak to the people or person doing the behavior and leave everyone else out of it.

So close to good management. Just do it, you don’t need a sign.

  11. BringOutYDead

I threatened my staff last week that if they play that Bad Medicine song by Bon fucking Jovi one more time, I’m busting their bluetooth speaker.

  12. alloutofchewingum

You ARE NOT going to simulate ORAL or MANUAL SEX during staff meetings while I am talking!

  13. GodzillaLMT

The other day I told Dylan I was gonna stab him with a gun. My lifeforce depends on threatening my coworkers.

  14. ugly_tst

Stop fuckin threatening people, what kinda immature ego bullshit is going on? A good tap to the chiclets is the adult thing to do..

  15. aliamokeee

Throwback to when woman A chased woman B throughout the perimeter of the restaurant, into the kitchen- to end in A choking out B against a wall in the back.

    Life lessons were learned

  16. Rare_Psychology_8853

    Bad move. Fistfights improve morale.

  17. Careless_World_1815

How tf am I supposed to communicate?
I SWEAR TO GOD KYLE IF YOU DONT STOP PUTTING TOMATOES ON THE MUSHROOM BURGER WHEN THEYRE NOT ASKING FOR IT IMMA SHOVE AN ENTIRE FUCKING TOMATO UP YOUR GODDDAMNED NOSE.

  18. peanutleaks

What? Not fire them? You must need help sheesh. Or this happens on the reg.

I’d never make it in a kitchen lmfao

  19. bhorstman21

I get to go home AND force a manager to crash and burn at a job they dont know how to do? BET

  20. operatingcan

I genuinely read “you will be choked out” instead of clocked 😂🫠🫠

  21. Silvervirage

You’ll finish my shift AJ? Im gonna bounce your head off the heat lamp.

See ya after brunch, thanks man

  22. Relevant_Grass9586

I like throwing hands in the kitchen, makes the day go by faster.

  23. TheCzarIV

See, the note for me would end “… and I WILL be kicking your ass out back by the dumpster. Sick of y’all’s shit. Get it together before I do.”

  24. bigloser42

Wait, doesn’t his mean if you all threaten each other with violence you all get the night off to go party and your manager has to cover all your shifts?

  25. Key-Cantaloupe-507

You should cross post to r/signswithastory

Edit to change “shouldn’t” to “should”

  26. Prize_Ebb_6724

The consequence for threatening another staff member with physical harm is that the chef will send me home and they will finish my shift… But I won’t get fired? Sounds like good policy that no one would abuse if they want to wrap early.

  27. GorillaGrip_Pussy

A.J. Learned that day they can’t be both FOH and the dish pig at the same time.

  28. punkinbunz

He’ll finish the WHOLE shift? Sign me up, or I’ll kill you!

  29. Sweaty-Society7582

Listen, if Damon can’t stop himself talking shit then I’m gonna stroke his prostate with his own arm, and it’s only right that he get some warning before that happens.

  30. Frogfriend99

I once saw a line cook completely knock out another mid shift. The kinda knock out where dudes legs instantly gave out and he was laying on the floor snoring. 5 seconds later the foh manager came back and the puncher told her he was sleeping on the job. She whole heartedly believed that for like 60 seconds

  31. dishyssoisse

Lol is this where I work? The yo momma jokes got out of hand a month ago and one of the 20yo line cooks pulled a gun on one of the others. They wrote him up. Apparently it’s not a big deal?

  32. glumpoodle

Damned straight you don’t threaten your colleagues. Why give them warning ahead of time?

The safest way is to wait until they’re drunk/asleep.

  33. randompastadish

I’m a felon and only a very select few at my work know about it, I’m also a smaller female and I had another female coworker corner me in the dish pit and slam the machine in an attempt to mess around with me and she got surprised that I got into her face about it! Like nope, imma fight you right here right now

    Prep line be like

  35. Expensive-View-8586

You will be fired the first time you threaten a coworker wtf is this just clocked out bullshit.

  36. 2eDgY4redd1t

So we can’t blood eagle the servers for throwing the silverware in the trash can anymore? Or is it just that we can’t warn them about it?

  37. SaveUsCatman

So just threaten someone as soon as you get to work on Sunday brunch and management has to work it? Sign me up
