    I recommend cutting down the sugar in the cake by half a cup since every layer is reallllyyy sweet too

    •graham cracker base baked for 8 mins @350F prior to adding the chocolate cake batter (1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cups of butter, 2.5 ish cups of graham crackers crushed which is roughly 15 large graham crackers- this recipe is for 2 cake layers 8 inches in diameter, you have to double it for this large cake size) press down the base to make it as flat as possible.

    •cake is sandwiched with 50/50 ratio of ganache (I used 10 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips with 10 ounces of heavy cream for the whole recipe)

    Sorry for the imperial measurements, but this cake is as American as it gets lol

    I used 6 inch tall acetate paper and cake ring to assemble and used warm ganache to assemble, but I do think this recipe can be used without mold by using ganache in a 2:1 ratio of chocolate and heavy cream that is completely at room temperature or on the cooler side
