I think my first was around that age too.

Fist restaurant ramen? Or did you also not grow up eating packaged ramen?

Either way. Welcome to a lovely world of soupy noods

I think my first real bowl was in my late 20s. It changed my view on ramen!! I wish you many more good bowls of real ramen!

  4. You must be in a legit Japanese restaurant if you got a side of the little white deep ocean shrimp!

Edit: never mind I zoomed in and it’s black sesame seeds; I thought they were little eyeballs. Looks good all the same!

My first bowl was 21, and it was Kinryu Ramen in Osaka, hence I had a pretty bad impression about ramen for a long time

And rediscovered ramen in my early 40

I didn’t try legit ramen until my 30s either. Now I make my own from scratch(not the noodles though).

Shoyu is my favorite style to experiment with and I like to use mushroom soy sauce for it.

Never forget the garlic/soy/ginger marinated boiled eggs for a topping. Surprisingly easy to make and mind-meltingly delicious!

I took my brother for his first bowl last year. Hes 38. 😄

I remember my first experience! I was 16 and balked at paying $15 for ramen when it was 50¢ at home. Boy ways I wrong.

I had my first bowl of Miso Ramen when I was around 12
