This is the kitaro special toro from Kitaro on the upper west side. It’s $54 you get 2 pieces of tuna toro, 2 pieces of yellowtail toro, two pieces of salmon toro, a triple toro roll and miso soup. Here’s what I’ll say this roll, I did not enjoy at all. It was not cut well it was hard to eat. It fell apart horribly. Not a fan. Now the actual six pieces, the word toro, gets thrown around too often. None of this is toro, hamachi toro would be marbled. The tuna was a little more fatty than standard tuna but this was not chutoro or o-toro. Same with the salmon. So this is not what they said. With that said, this is six huge pieces of extremely fresh, high quality fish. At this price though I expected something very different. Not bad by any stretch of the imagination but I do feel a bit duped.
