
Video Recipe: Cornflake Crumbed Tofu

Written Recipe:
Crunchy Cornflake Crumbed Tofu (3 servings)
Ingredients:
For the batter –
2/3 cup (80g) flour,
1/2 tsp (2g) salt,
1/2 tsp (1g) pepper,
1/2 cup (125ml) plant milk,
For the crumbs –
3 cups (105g) cornflakes,
For the tofu –
1 block (~450g) firm tofu sliced,
Method:
1. Combine the flour, salt and pepper in a bowl, stir.
2. Gradually add in the plant milk while stirring to form a thick batter.
3. Process or crush the cornflakes into small crumbs with some powder.
4. Prepare the firm tofu by slicing or cutting into pieces.
5. Dip the tofu in the batter, flip and cover all sides. All excess to drip off.
6. Place tofu into cornflake crumbs and press to help crumbs to stick. Turn all over to ensure an even coating all over. Repeat with all of the tofu.
7. Cook in the oven or air fryer for around 30 minutes at 200C or 390F, or until golden brown and crunchy. Enjoy!
