Jeni’s Dulce de leche….a warning


I absolutely LOVE Jeni’s, so I ignored some of the negative word of mouth about the new Dulce de Leche holiday flavor. I am sad to report that this pint will be tossed. Literally no caramel swirl, and the base does not give “caramel” at all. Pretty disappointed in this one 😢

    My gosh… this looks like such a letdown. For Jeni’s pricing too?? Yikes.

    From the title I was expecting the base *and* the swirl to be full of dulce de leche flavor!

    Even so, seems weird to toss it. Just eat it. Complain and get a free coupon.

    Throw some Carmel syrup in there and some other fixins. Waste not want not!

    I had the same problem but then there was a bunch of dulce de leche at the bottom

    I’ve noticed many of Jeni’s flavors have the actual mix ins or swirls at the very bottom. The first time I had the cinnamon skillet, I was so disappointed and then got a massive amount of the cinnamon swirl at the bottom.

    It’s all at the bottom, unfortunately. My pint was the same. Its quite good, just not mixed well.

    My pint was exactly the same. A tiny speck of caramel was at the very bottom of the pint. It pissed me off so much i sent a complaint to Jeni’s lol and they’re sending me a voucher. You should write to them so the company knows they need to do better. I thought maybe it was a manufacturing issue, but clearly they’re lacking in quality control.

    I was very disappointed in this flavor too. Jelly doughnut is one of my favorite Jeni’s flavors. The base of that is so flavorful and based on that I had high hopes for this. They could’ve done so much with the base of this but it’s just so bland. It’s literally cream flavor. (Nothing)

    Tossed? Can you salvage it by adding toppings to it ? for how expensive this ice cream is, it seems like a waste to just toss it
