Never seen anything like this before. What do you call this and where can these be bought? I like how small it is and the espresso coming out the top looks pretty good.

9barista. It’s like $900.

Pay half and get better espresso with a Robot
ImmemorableMoniker
It’s called the 9Barista.
MikermanS
It’s a 9Barista espresso brewer (no, it is *not* a Moka pot!), available at (of course) 9Barista.com. The price of a (nice) electric machine. 😉 You even can choose between a regular and a naked portafilter for it (the latter to further see the show).
>The product shown in the image is the 9Barista stovetop espresso machine.
>It is a stovetop coffee maker that produces 9 bars of pressure and 93°C water to make espresso.
>It is available in different versions, including Mk.1 and Mk.2, as well as refurbished models.
>The machine is designed to work on various heat sources, including gas, electric, and even camping stoves. An additional plate is required for induction cooktops.

The Moka Brika works great.

9barista, good little kettle, overpriced and over engineered
overpriced for what it is/can do, just more of a collector item lol

Something I probably won’t be able to afford anytime soon.

I don’t care what their marketing people call it. It’s just the laws of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics in action. Mocha pot uses same principles imho.

So an over engineered moccapot? Just making sure I saw that right. Side note, I’d own one if I started collecting coffee makers for fun.
Familiar-Ending
It is a dam cool however, it does only one thing really nicely. If that’s good for your purposes dive in. At that price point I’d get an Odyssey Argos and do many things nicely.

I’m a gadget junkie. That looks way cool.

Didn’t know what this is, but seems pretty cool after reading the comments. This would be a pretty good device if you want to be able to make real espresso anywhere you go.
I would imagine it would require some experience to dial in though? More of a learning curve than an espresso machine?
Ok-Improvement-3670
It’s a 9Barista.
amarodelaficioanado
It’s more expensive than a gaggia classic. What’s the point? (I know its portable and uses heat) Anyway, price is ridiculous

I own the Mk1 model, which I understand produces espresso flavor quality comparable to the Mk2. The 9barista machine consistently makes fantastic espresso—in my opinion, superior to that of even basic espresso machines like the Breville, which I also own. For anyone keen to delve deeper into the world of home espresso, I highly recommend acquiring one.
