Will all gratitude and appreciation to this post, which prompted me to give this a try this weekend:

(Wasn't able to figure out how to post this pic to that original thread!)

Comforting and hearty dish that was easy to prepare, yields a lot, and is relatively inexpensive. Paired with a slice of warm cornbread.

If you’re feeling extra lazy one day, heat up a packet of Indian Madras lentils and pour it on pasta, like shells or macaroni or rotelli. It’s hearty and so good for a fall or winter meal.
