What is the Gourmet BBQ System? Is this something I should look into?
It. Looks like there could be a lot of accessories for this. What are some of the uses? Is it something I should think about investing in?

System of removable/swappable inserts in the center. It appears to have been a thing on certain kettles- my performer deluxe for example, or I believe also the master touch models.
Iirc, there’s a wok, poultry roaster, pizza stone, cast iron diamond-shape sear grate, etc.
I have the sear grate and using that with a big pile of briquettes, with a thorough preheat, you can get some freaking awesome grill marks on a thick juicy ribeye. I like doing that when my brothers can travel and get to my house for a few days. It’s just an awesome presentation.
Now that I think about it the poultry roaster with a snake of of B&B briquettes might just be the move?

It’s honestly pretty gimmicky.
My summit came with it and I rarely use the feature.

It’s annoying more than anything.
The hole is nice for vortex. Other than that it’s just an extra piece to track down.

The middle coming out is so fucking annoying when you take the grate out the little fucking middle part comes out. It’s so fucking stupid.

I like it .
Find it very handy and use it quite often. Sometimes to manage baskets when setting them up in the middle, sometimes when using a vortex , sometimes when just needing another angle to be able to reach the fire to make an adjustment. The out edge of the grill ring , by the handles, also flips open.
I added this upgrade to all 4 of my 22’s

I have a few of the accessories for this; sear grate, Dutch oven, wok. All are really good for cooking different types of meals. I also like how easy it is to remove the middle section if you need to add coals/ disperse coals around during a cook.

My Summit Kamado came with it, I added the pizza stone. First pizzas came out well.

I’ll give you mine.
Much prefer the SNS spin grate

I have the cast iron skillet that goes in it and I love it for breakfast and veggies

They are perfect for the Vortex which is arguably one of the best ways to cook on the kettle, but just a PIaTA for everything else.

I never used mine. Got a heavier duty set and since the gourmet thing was a little bent from shipping, I just tossed it.

I love it. I have the cast iron insert. I use that on my gas grill, too. I don’t use charcoal in the winter, but this grate is perfect for a cut up chicken every Sunday in the summer. The folding grates are perfect.

I used to use the pizza stone and cast iron inserts, but I have a griddle and a Traeger I make pizza in.

I look at it as a way for them to sell more accessories. I tossed mine, and bought a standard grill instead.

Heard it’s great for the vortex but it seems that’s it’s not available for the 26. Tried actively looking with no luck.

I have a hinged one w/o the removable center, and I find it great for adding more charcoal or chips to my slow-n-sear. I don’t have a vortex, otherwise I’d want the one w/ the removable center as well.

I’ve got mine wired in place. Doesn’t fall out anymore.
