After a lot of research, I decided to move from a simple Delonghi (€140) to a profitec go (€890). Now things are getting serious and I think I need some months to deal with PID and finding the right settings for each type of coffee. Maybe in the future I’ll change my grinder too but apart from some retention (I have to beat my fellow opus for a couple of times) everything work fine! I’m so happy about my honest setup!
Have a nice coffee to everyone! ☕️

Nice upgrade! That should keep you in the game for awhile, but probably not your endgame based upon what I’ve been reading here for the past several years. 🙃

Opus is definitely a bottleneck in this setup, but machine is lovely, especially in yellow.
    Have a nice practice.

Happy with the GO? Big difference to the Dedica? Did you used it with pressurized portafilter and all original stuff?
Thinking to switch since a few weeks/months now but I can be happy with dedica as it does good stuff but not consistant at all …

if the opus does what you need and you like the taste of the coffee you make with it, then don’t let other people tell you you need to spend more money. but i’m liking the setup!
