I have a customer who aggressively demands his food not be heated in a microwave because “microwaves kill the spiritual energy of the food”
He also demands his coffee boiling hot and it takes every ounce of strength not to reply: “I can’t do that as it kills the spiritual energy of the milk”
I have a couple who bring me their 8oz keep cups and order a 12oz coffee 😂
When I tried to explain it to them they yelled at me “well then just fill it up”
This is a charming story, though I have noticed some shops really going hard on the intense coffees lately because the vast majority of customers no longer drink it black. I started joking with my older folks about “diner style” coffee meaning a little weak so they can work on it all day long and not be buzzing out of their gourd
