Shopping in downtown Toronto’s busiest mall will soon involve much more pasta, pizza and gelato than ever before, as Eataly has announced an opening date for its long-awaited location at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre.
Opening on Tuesday, Nov. 25, Eataly Eaton Centre is poised to upgrade the mall with two new restaurants, a number of quick-service counters and a marketplace stocked with countless Italian indulgences.
First announced in May of last year, Eataly Eaton Centre is the brand’s fourth Toronto location, after Eataly Yorkville, Eataly Sherway Gardens and, most recently, the 2024-opened Eataly Don Mills.
Housed in the former Nordstrom, the new Eaton Centre store is spread across two levels, totalling 25,000 square feet of space.
Despite having half the footprint of Eataly’s Yorkville location (which measures an impressive 50,000 square feet), Eataly Eaton Centre still boasts all the brand’s signature features.
In the Marketplace, visitors will find a range of Made in Italy pantry staples alongside local produce, fresh pastas, baked goods and imported salumi and cheeses.
Four counters — Il Gran Caffè, La Pasticceria, Il Gelato and Pizza alla Pala — offer grab-and-go coffees, pastries, slices of pizza and more.
For sit-down meals, Eataly’s signature La Pizza & La Pasta and La Piazza can accommodate up to 240 guests. Artisanal pastas and Neapolitan pizzas make up the bulk of the menu at the former, with hand-shaken cocktails, imported wines and light bites refreshing shoppers at the latter.
“Eataly Eaton Centre is a continuation of our story in Canada, cementing our appreciation for the community we’ve built here since first opening Eataly Yorkville in 2019,” says Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America.
Founded in Torino, in 2007, Eataly currently operates more than 60 locations in 15 countries around the world. Eataly Eaton Centre is the brand’s 18th North American store.
