I weigh 168lbs (77kg) and I’m 5’4″ (163cm). Is this too much protein every day for a sedentary lifestyle?

Yes. If you aren’t working on building muscle, your body isn’t using excess protein.

Yeah I think so. I’m 5” taller than you and I don’t aim for this much protein.

I mean it is a lot of protein if you’re not lifting, but there is nothing inherently wrong with eating high protein. I calculated and this is only 1509 calories which is unlikely a surplus.

If you like eating like this and you don’t have any kidney issues by all means go ahead, but your body has a threshold of protein it can actively use and store, and the excess will just get peed out. T[his study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28698222/) analyzed 1800 participants who were actively weight lifting to grow muscle and found there were no further gains eating over 1.62g per kg. So someone sedentary and trying to lose weight doesn’t need that much.
The only issues arise if you have kidney problems because filtering out that much protein can be hard on the kidneys. Problem is most people don’t know they have a kidney problem until it’s too late. I have no symptoms or issues whatsoever but I had to get a bunch of scans done when I punctured my lung and the doctors told me I was starting to form kidney stones and to take precautions.

Yes. What’s your fibre intake like? You should be focusing on increasing fibre over eating so much protein.
