This smashed taco recipe combines two beloved treats into one deliciously perfect bite! In this video, Nicole makes smashed dumpling tacos with a flavorful ground pork-coleslaw mixture. Crisped to perfection over the stove and even tastier with an umami dipping sauce, these simple tacos capture the satisfying flavors of an authentic dumpling dinner.
Smashed dumpling tacos. Two amazing treats in one perfect bite. Trust me, this is probably the best one yet. Start with ground pork and then add in green onions, cilantro, fresh garlic, and fresh ginger. Then season it up with just a little bit of salt and pepper, some sesame oil, and soy sauce. Add in about 1 cup of coleslaw and then give it a good mix. Spread this mixture into a thin layer all the way to the edges of some flour tortillas. For the sauce, combine soy sauce with a little bit of water, rice vinegar, Sriracha, and sugar. Then give that a stir until the sugar dissolves. Heat up a large non-stick skillet or griddle and add in a little bit of neutral oil. Once that’s hot, go in with your tortillas, meat side down, and cook them for about 3 minutes or until they’re browned. Once they’re cooked and crispy on both sides, top it off with the rest of your sllo mix, green onions, and cilantro. While these might not be authentic dumplings, they sure are an easy way to satisfy that craving. This is no doubt the best one yet. Sober.
