Ugly Dumpling, a fast-casual chain specializing in dumpling soups and noodle bowls, is doubling its presence in New Jersey with three new locations listed as “coming soon.”

A restaurant planned for Delran, Burlington County, at 4000 Route 130 will be the chain’s first location in South Jersey and will occupy the former Crab Du Jour space.

Two other restaurants are planned in Springfield, Union County at 140 Route 22 West and in Morris Plains, Morris County at 1711 Route 10 and Route 202, according to the Ugly Dumpling website.

Opening dates have not yet been announced.

The chain specializes in Shanghai-inspired soup dumplings, known as xiao long bao, along with wok dishes and noodle bowls.

The menu also features Shanghai stir-fried noodles, creative wok dishes, dim sum, and bubble tea.

The chain currently operates three New Jersey locations in Edison at 561 US-1, Linden at 661 W. Edgar Rd. and Holmdel at 2130 NJ-35, Suite 6.
