If you’re a fan of honeybaked ham, you are going to absolutely love this recipe. In fact, I think it tastes so much better than a honey baked ham. It’s sweet, savory, juicy, so flavorful. Oh my gosh, it’s perfect for any occasion. Look at that caramelization. And this is seriously the easiest recipe ever. You want to grab a spiral ham that’s already been sliced. It’ll just make your life so much easier. And you want to get one between 8 and 10 lb. This one’s around 9 lb. I’m adding my ham to my roasting pan, flat side down. We’re going to pour 1 cup of orange juice into the bottom. Then we’re going to bake this at 325 for about an hour to an hour and a half. It’s 10 minutes per pound of ham. So, this is about a 9 lb ham. I’m going to cook it for an hour and a half. You want to loosely tent it with foil first. All right, I’ll be back in about an hour and a half. While the ham’s baking, we’re going to make that iconic glaze. To a saucepan, add some granulated sugar, brown sugar, some honey, nutmeg, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, cinnamon, and some dijon mustard. Cook this over medium heat until it’s nice and glazy. When your ham is finished, uncover it, and then we’re going to pour half of the glaze over top of the ham and make sure you get it in the slices. I’ll sprinkle some more brown sugar over top. And then return that to the oven at 425 for about 15 minutes until it’s nice and golden. After that, brush on the remaining glaze and pop it back into the oven under the broiler for two to three minutes. That is going to give you the signature crust on this ham. This ham will get rave reviews and everybody’s going to be asking for the recipe which you can find on stephrealife.com.

  1. Cook with cloves to get rid of parasites that live in pork and they add such a warm clean savory joy to it. Pineapples on top are to aid in digesting the fat.

  3. girl, I do the same thing I go to Walmart and you can buy the maple brown sugar hair or the honey ham. I put some orange juice and some brown sugar and mix it up. Cook the ham and then halfway when it’s done I slather it all on there in between the slices stick it back in there and then I take that packet glaze that they they give you and then I put that back on there get it warmed up in the microwave and then I put that on the top and people love it😊

  4. Honey baked ham is one of the biggest scams out there.
I used to work for a facility maintenance company several years ago and two of our accounts were John Morell meats and also Honey baked ham stores.
One morning I was working at a honey baked ham store and the John Morell truck delivered the hams. I watched the HBH employee open the ham, put it on a hook and hang it in the processing area. Then all he did was heat the ham with a torch, sprinkle their seasonings on it, torch it again until it glazed over then wrapped it up in the gold foil. That's it! They don't even spiral slice them, they already arrive that way. Then they mark them up to a crazy price. You're paying all that money for about $1.00 worth of seasonings! LMAO!!
