This is my first ever pepper plant, and I’m not sure what kind of pepper it is since it grew coincidentally. It started around April and fruiting in August/September. I’m growing them indoors, and I managed to get three peppers.
I’m worried about a fungal infection brewing so I wanted to know if I can pick these peppers off before pruning and repotting for the next growth cycle. So, are my three lucky peppers ready or will they survive a repotting?

Look like jalapeno. No, they’re not really ready. They’re ready when they are a darker green or when they become red/yellow/orange depending on variety. You could pluck them now and use them for cooking, but they won’t have as much heat or flavor yet as if you waited another week or so
