I’ve just assembled my Green Egg Modular Frame and only need to attach the wheels.
I received the Caster Kit, which includes:
- Two wheels (one with a brake and one without)
- Two bolts
- Two washers
- Two caps
I can easily screw the two wheels onto the frame and that seems to be it. But then why are there also two bolts, washers, and caps included?
There were no assembly instructions in the box, and I can’t find any guide online showing how to attach everything using all the parts.
Does anyone have an idea?

I know nothing about the modular frame or these casters, but it seems possible that the casters are intended for use in a frame with threaded holes (which you have) as well as a frame with through holes (which would require the additional hardware).
The nuts are used to secure the wheels after installation so that they don’t become unscrewed when wheeling.
The caps just go over the screws.
