I wanted to share my latest illustrated map with you guys, the American BBQ Map! Looking for feedback – did I include the spot you grew up on? Did I leave anything off? Thought y’all would appreciate this!

Add Wardlaw’s in Lafayette, GA please 🙏
Miss Myra’s mentioned!
I was interested to see if there were any well known places up near me and then I realized you only did the southern half of the US…
Dreamland in Tuscaloosa and shortys in south Florida are goated
Nothing in El Paso 😑
Very cool!
Battle to see the Skylight Inn, in NC on there.
Jack stack and Bryant’s are trash tier for KC
this is cool! thanks!

Nashville is missing Shotgun Willie’s, best bbq in town
4Rivers is a shitty chain that found the bottom of the barrel and continues to dig. Why would you put that on the map for Florida?
Also, hardly any barbecue restaurants here serve seafood, nevermind smoked mullet.
Opies getting some love!
Really cool illustration, great job!!
Jenkins Quality BBQ in Jacksonville closed all its locations.
This should be Woodpeckers on the map in its place as it’s probably the most well regarded in the area consistently when people are looking.
Not bad, but ALOT is left off
The artist missed a great opportunity to throw in some small backyard smokers on fire in the free spaces 😂
Jenkins in NE Florida is trash.
Would be nice if there was an image we could zoom in on. Couldn’t even see the area I wanted to on the website.
First off all, I love this. Awesome work, great detail, love how you captured the character in signs, bldgs etc.
From a self proclaimed NC BBQ expert, my only feedback upon first glance would be:
1. Replace places that use gas to cook (ex. Clyde coopers) with others that cook over wood coals. So, if it were me I’d replace Clyde coopers with Stephenson’s BBQ.
2. It notes Lexington, NC as BBQ Capitol of “WNC” and while I get it that you’re trying to differentiate btw ENC and rest of state, I don’t think Lexington is WNC, which is usually reserved to refer to the mountains. I’d change WNC to “Piedmont”
Very cool project!
Got to add Mama’s BBQ Louisville KY. Easily the best BBQ I’ve had in the state
CouYons in Baton Rouge, La was the first place I looked for.
Pork belly burnt ends from smoque in Chicago still one of the best things I’ve ever ate.
That’s cool, thanks for creating and sharing.

Austin, LeRoy and Lewis should be on there.
Fort Worth, Panther City, and Dayne’s in Aledo should definitely be on the map
