Thiago’s Italian Kitchen & Bar opened in Heath in late December of 2023. Now, less than two years after launching, the Central Ohio eatery has shuttered.
According to an employee of Thiago’s New Lexington restaurant, the Heath restaurant closed its doors on Nov. 1
Thiago’s was located at 1122 Hebron Rd. It held its grand opening on Dec. 23, 2023, at the time replacing Pappy’s on 79, which had been open in Heath for more than a decade.

The eatery is known for serving a wide range of classic Italian dishes–like Fettucine Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan and more–and pizza.
A number of Columbus foodies took to the local social media groups to lament the closing of the eatery’s Heath location.
“Thiago’s in Heath has permanently closed.. So sad.. I loved their food!! Make sure you support local not big chain,” one user shared in the Columbus Foodies Facebook group.
“We ate at Thiago’s Italian Kitchen and bar on Rte 79 tonight and they told us they are closing for good tomorrow. Hated to hear this because we eat there once a week. I liked all their Italian dishes,” another user wrote.
