After a couple pints from Burdock Brewery, I went for some of my quick and relatively cheap staples around the market. Started with fried pork and chives dumplings from Dumpling House, then a beef empanada from Jumbo Empanadas and finally a Baja fish taco from Seven Lives.
I was planning a night cap with a jerk chicken from Rasta Pasta which unfortunately looks shuttered!? Devastating stuff, I hope they come back…

How was the beef empanada ? I want to try it!
I recommend the egg drop soup at Dumpling House, if you are there with a friend.
Omg I love dumpling house dumplings and their noodles. Especially their zhajiang mian.
Dumpling house is great but you can literally smell the dead rats in this place.
Rasta pasta at Kensington is apparently gone but their other location is still operating.
Kensington and St. Lawrence markets are some of the true gems of the city of Toronto
Next time you get pork and chive dumplings, go to yummy yummy dumplings. It’s the best. I have tried so many places when YYD is closed and I’m always very disappointed
